• Hi, I’m trying to create a decent table layout that I can just repeat for different pages. I don’t want it to look like a table that displays an excel type page, but a table layout. I have very basic coding knowledge so am trying to find a decent plugin or similar, but I’m coming up against a brick wall. The page I’ve managed to put together has just been created by making a table in word and then copying and pasting it across. It has worked more or less OK, but it is lacking any finesse, it just looks very basic.

Are there any good plugins that will help me create a page layout table style that I can use, or am I going about this the wrong way? Any help appreciated.

  • Tables shouldn’t be used for page/site layout (if that’s what you mean) – that’s an outdated approach to web design – and they really don’t work well on responsive sites. HTML and CSS can be used to design great page layouts – but specifics depend on the theme you are using.

If you want to display tabular data, that’s the right use of tables – and TablePress plugin is excellent.
