    Hello there,

I am trying to override default gallery thumbnails default-view.php but it seems that placing the file in the desired location “wp-content\ngg\modules\photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails\” is not working for me.

I use the template directory as well so this location “wp-content\ngg\modules\photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails\template\” is also not working in my case.

I don’t want to make changes in core files and then update it with every plugin update.

I am working with albums so placing a short code for each gallery on every page is not a proper solution for my case specially when that means I’ll be forced to add 40 more pages and then insert the same custom view code in each page and expect our client to follow it.

    Thanks

  • Does your new template end in “-view.php”? if not, it won’t appear in the Select View dropdown in your Gallery Settings.

    Hi @jawadakr,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation (please just see my colleague’s post above).

    Thanks!
