• I cannot seem to change styles in NexGen Pro.

I have an older version of NexGen on my website which I have styled the way I like, and it looks just dandy. It is on WP 3.4.1 with NexGen 1.9.12 and Galleryview 1.0.1.

I’m designing a new version of the site here, with WP 3.6 and NexGen PRO. Ideally I’d like it to look just like the old. I can’t figure out how to arrange it so that it is stacked thumbnails/caption/image, but I can live without that if I have to. However, the images and the captions are both truncated, and I can’t figure out why.

I’ve been trying to simply change the height of the caption area to begin with, so that it is not limited to 52px. I have attempted to override the CSS in several ways:

-In my main CSS stylesheet in Thesis. Even tagging styles with !important does not override the 52px.

-In NexGen’s admin screen, where it says you can enter styles. This may work if you are not using Pro, but because I’m using the filmstrip style in Pro, this is overridden.

-I tried to edit the Pro filmstrip style directly, but at least for the caption area height, it STILL didn’t change even after I changed it to 100px in that stylesheet. There is a comment there indicating that it may be set in javascript.

Also, not happy that I paid $39 for the pro version only to find I can’t make simple CSS edits, and don’t get any more support than a www.remarpro.com forum.

Ah. Their support link leads directly here. I did find a Pro Support link, which leads to a paragraph saying that it has Pro Support, and a link to buy it, which I already did. Looks like their website is as wonky as their software.

I am having the same problem as you.
Can’t edit the CSS coz the styles are generated from a PHP file which is supposed to automatically get the width of your thumbnail size.

Since I was in need of an urgent fix, I edited this file:
    /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery-pro/modules/nextgen_pro_horizontal_filmstrip/templates/nextgen_pro_horizontal_filmstrip_css.php

There I hard coded my thumbnail size.
It works for me because I will only be using this template.
It sucks to pay for a buggy software.
