Unable to open file 'missing.html' in binary read mode

  • Just installed to do new backup before upgrading to WP4.
    First run, got the following error:

    There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Details: parsererror -- SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

  • As the error message shows “Unable to open file ‘missing.html’ in binary read mode” , find the missing.html file and either exclude or fix it’s permissions to readable, usually 644 work ok.
