I upgraded all my plugins including the All in One Calendar(2.2.1). I also upgraded wordpress to 4.2.2.

Now I always see the message “Unable to move old core themes from wp-content/themes-ai1ec to wp-content/themes-ai1ec-obsolete because your wp-content folder is not writable. Please manually remove you old core themes”.
I can see all the events under the administrator but, they do not show up on the front end.

If I edit an event from administrator then update it will show up in the calendar.

I am using a calendar feed that will update events from a database. All was working prior to the upgrade.

  • Hi,

    What was the previous version?

    The previous version was 1.10.

Due to large differences in the versions, probably upgrade wiped dates and times. Unfortunately you need to reset the date and time for each event.

The dates and times get reset from the event feed every hour. We have a feed from a database query.

I did notice that the events are all in there but they do not show up in the calendar.

If I modify one and update from the dashboard it will show up. But the next time the feed refreshes they are all gone again from the calendar view but they are in the event list.

    This issue is not resolved.

Please do not mark as resolved

I’m not sure anymore whether you have a problem with the feed import or events after the upgrade? If with the feed import, please remember to check option “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed”. It is necessary to re-add the feed url and choose that option.

We also added a button to the posterboard and single event php page in the previous version that allowed to user to apply for the event. How do we do that in the version 2.2.1?

For that you need a Front End Event Submissions addon.

This button would open a modal dialog that would load a custom page with a form the user would fill out.

So now you are charging me for something that we had functionality before?

    Hi,

Yes, it will open a modal dialog with form. 2.0 has been a major upgrade, and begins to set the stage for us to be sustainable as a company. Being sustainable means that we can continue to develop, and offer support – however, in doing so, we need to start charging for some of the add ons we offered for free. The core platform is still free and several others, but Front End Event Submissions addon is one that we need to charge for.
Hope that you’re able to either continue as a free user or become a paying user and support us.

    Thanks
