Unable to move image to uploads

  • Have just moved my blog to a new server, and get the message “unable to move ‘x-image’ [to the destination folder]”

    1) Updated permalinks
    2) made permissions =777 for wp-content & uploads folders
    3) added the “mod_security off” fix to .htaccess

    The correct folder was automatically created (subfolder 07 for 2008), but somehow doesn’t allow things to be saved there. The permissions are also 777.

    Am going crazy… Peter

    Was suggested to me to remove the month & date sorting option for the uploads feature, which worked.

    Additionally, php safe modecan be switched off, for the date filing option to work (for some servers).

    Thank you for the solution, the month & date sorting trick worked for me to (after trying everything…).
