Unable to make posts or upload media after upgrade to WP 4.0

I can’t deactivate plugins to see if they are causing any interference because I receive the same “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again” message when I attempt to deactivate them. ._.

Try renaming the plugins directory. This will have the same effect as deactivating all the plugins.

Thanks for the suggestion Shawn! This indeed works. Sadly, it seems after deactivating all my plugins, none were the problem. I’m now unable to reactivate any of them. ??

So after deactivating all the plugins, you’re still getting the ‘Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.’ message?

As for not being able to reactivate your plugins after renaming the directory back, do you have a database backup you could quickly restore? That would do it.

A little background, this error is caused by a nonce check failing. A quick google found two articles with things to try as well:

Oh, after trying/refreshing a couple times, seems it indeed was a plugin, WordPress IPSConnect.

Everything’s back in order. I suppose I will now contact their support about this.
