@robertboyl – If you are using a third-party plugin to provide the Lightbox Effect (which is what I am understanding) then we have no control over that.

Its YOUR SOFTWARE that uses such plugin, not me!

All I wanted was to translate IMAGE LOADING, etc. you were the ones that told me you use lightbox, etc.

I wont insist anymore with this, I gave up. REad the history. The problem is very clear.

I want to translate LOADING, etc. in the galery which is YOUR product. You guys told me that this is done by Lightbox plugin. I asked to confirm the link to that software developer so I could try to ask them how to translate it, as you dont know.

and you keep stalling me with non sense information.

Install YOUR SOFTWARE and set it for Brazilian portuguese. You will see, several things are in ENGLISH such as LOADING when you click on an image or CLICK TO CLOSE.

I followed all steps for localization, as explained in this post and none worked.

THAT is the issue.

If you know how to solve, tell me, if not, let it go.

I really do apologize for you not understanding this statement but as you insist on repeating that we do I can only try to re-inform you we do not.

Also, once again, if you do use another plugin for its Lightbox then its translation would be at the hands of that author. You would need to address this with them.

Sure. But then will LOADING, CLICK TO CLOSE, etc appear in portuguese? Were these not translated? AFAIR I translated that and they still didnt work. I dont wanna have the work and the issue remain the same.

@robertboyl – The file there is out of date and we will be moving our translations to a more community based model based on the new WordPress language packs ideas.

We currently only bundle the Lightbox Effects with NextGEN Gallery as a convenience we do not actively support their underlying functionality or codebase as is.

Robert just wants to know where you source the Lightbox Effects libraries so that he can contact the developers regarding translations.

@padraigbeirne – If a third-party Lightbox library was not continually being referenced then I could possibly answer that request … if indeed that is the question being posed.

As it is, each library can be reviewed within the NextGEN Gallery code and their respective base .js files will show their respective authors. If it happens to be the “Thickbox” library, we use the one bundled with WordPress itself.
