Unable to login with new users, unknown email address error.

  • I created new users to give access to my theme support to my staging site, but I am unable to login with the new user credentials. I have tried creating users with multiple users but no luck. I have created users the same way before and it worked fine. Tried clearing cache but still the problem exists. Only my old credentials are working but all the new users I add don’t work.

    Do your old credentials give you admin capabilities to manage themes and plugins? I believe your theme or a plugin is interfering with proper operation. Switch to a default twenty* theme and deactivate all plugins.

    Create a new user once again, since the older new credentials may be flawed. This new user should be able to log in now. Identify the problem module by restoring your theme, then plugins, one at a time, doing the same create user and login test process after each. When the problem returns, the last activated module is the cause. Take up the issue through its dedicated support channel.
