    Hi,

I’m totally unable to login to the WP dashboard to remove a plugin that is causing the following error: Fatal error: Class ‘slim_browscap_db’ not found in /home4/lexilewi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/browser.php on line 22.

I took over handling this site from someone else and only made configurations and accessed the site via the admin panel. I have PHPmyadmin setup. Is there a way I can access this site via PHPmyadmin? I have a copy of the config file and db credentials. I entered them in PHPmyadmin but do not see a way to connect to the dashboard admin site to remove the bad file. I’m also not able to connect to the site via FTP. Please, please help!

    Shawn

  • Hi Shawn. Your host should provide account access via something like cPanel. There is a file manager there which you could use to access the plugin folder to rename it (which would deactivate it). If you can’t access the files that way or via FTP then I’d recommend contacting your host for assistance.

    Hi there,

please refrain from submitting multiple requests for the same issue. I already replied here:

Thanks @bdbrown I will try to do this.

ftp the site, or access via host control panel and rename/delete plugins>wp-slimstat

    You’re welcome.

    @webdesignerchristian

I’m kind of new to designing via WP.

Can I FTP directly into the WP site? If so, the credentials I have are incorrect.

Is there a particular WP file where the ftp credentials are stored? I have a local backup of the site.

Where is this ‘host control panel’? When I took this over, I was never given access to this.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, if that’s been enabled on your host account. The credentials are likely different than those you use to log on to your site admin.

No, FTP is outside of WP.

Where is this ‘host control panel’?

It’s provided by your host to give you access to various options on your hosting account. This is also outside of WP. The interface looks like this:
    https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/ALD/The+cPanel+Interface

Your host would provide you the account logon information to access cPanel. Within cPanel you can configure FTP accounts. If you don’t have the cPanel logon information you should contact your host for assistance.

Thanks again @bdbrown! I found reference to a ‘host gator’ relating to the domain name, which I think may be the source of this host control panel. I should have more on this tomorrow!
