Unable to login to wordpress

  • I’ve been unable to login to my WordPress site(s) since this morning. When I enter my user name and password from mysite.com/wp-admin, the fields go blank and the login process starts over, almost like it’s on a redirect.

    This is happening on ALL of my WP sites. They’re all hosted on the same server AND all of the sites themselves load and function fine.

    Any ideas? Everything was working fine last night.

    BTW, I tried the following things based on old posts in the forum about similar login issues, but these steps didn’t help. The issue remains unresolved.

    1. Logged out using https://www.mydomainname.com/wp-login.php?loggedout=true
    2. cleared cookies and restarted browser
    3. using FTP, moved plugins directory to a temp directory and created new plugins directory
    4. tried logging in – didn’t work
    5. reverted plugins directory and still didn’t work

    Any other ideas? I know it’s a holiday weekend in the U.S., but I’m getting desperate! ??
