Unable to login to site, 2FA not showing

    Hi all,

    I’m fairly new to Wordfence Security (1yr using this amazing plugin) and recently was asked to set up 2FA on one of our sites, Ive done it before, however, since then we are unable to sign into the site. When going to the login page, I’m able to key in our credentials (i.e., username and password) but clicking on the button does nothing – no buffering, no action at all – therefore, the 2FA screen doesn’t even come into play.

    This procedure has been tried on two other devices, one mobile and one laptop, (currently using a desktop) neither works.

    We have other sites and use 2FA fine, it’s been an excellent plugin for what’s needed.

    Thinking I’ve probably set this one up incorrectly. Can someone offer a solution before spill to the boss? ??

  • UPDATE: Wasn’t the 2FA at all. I had a misspelling in the domain when registering for the v3 recaptcha key. All is well now.

    Same problem. Brand new to WP and Wordfence. Years of experience with Joomla, so not a complete noob.

    Anyway, set up 2FA and now can’t get back in with same symptoms as Data_Agents.

    Hey @storerooms4professionals,

    It sounds like there might be a conflict either with the theme or one of the plugins you’re using, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme if you’re not already using one and disabling all other plugins then reactivating them one by one to see if the issue persists?

    To do so I recommend the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin which allows you to disable all plugins and switch to a default theme, but only for your user.

    @jbarkacs – Can you please check for a conflict as well? If it doesn’t help please start a new thread per the Forum Guidelines.
