Unable to log-in anymore

  • Hello dear forum,

    I guess this is a problem which noone will be able to fix, but perhaps some others have encountered the same problem:

    I cannot login to my wp-admin account anymore. Two hours after leaving for lunch and closing the browser (Note: without logging out), I came back to resume work. Trying to login and after entering the password, the login page just reloaded and prompted me to login again. After the third time the usual “forgot your password” prompt came up. When entering my Email adress for password recovery, a red box appeared with the message: “could not load password into the database”.

    I have of course checked and re-checked twice and thrice spelling, tabs-lock and so forth. I have checked the internet to see if the server is down. I checked my billing at united domains to see if there was an issue.

    Which leaves my with a very big question mark pounding onto the top of my head. . . .

    Any similar experiences anyone out there?

    P.S.: I had also restarted my computer, refreshed WLAN, pulled all plugs, used a different browser.

  • Hello, Heiko, & welcome. Can we please know your site url? Also, do you have any security plugins running, &, if so, which ones?

    thanks for your reply and sorry for my late one (I didn′t have email notification on).

    The problem is no more — yet I don′t know why it is so. Suddenly it worked again. Who knows.

    I couldn′t give you a site-url because the site itself hasn′t been published yet.
