Unable to locate WordPress Root directory. Installation Failed

  • Hello, for a few days now I’ve been getting this message: “Unable to locate WordPress Root directory. Installation Failed” every time I try to upgrade my plugins and to the next wordpress upgrade (the 3.9).

    I’m not sure what’s happening or how I can fix this.
    Any help would be very much appreciated.
