Unable to intall plugins Failed to connect FTP. Emergency Help :(

  • WordPress ver 3.2.1 :I am facing a problem when i try to install plugins but i need to connect with FTP i gave the hostname, username & pass.But it said “Failed to connect to FTP Server box7.host1free.com:21”
    I have change all the files & folders permission: 777 but still same problem.

    I have anothe site WP ver 3.1.3 Host:00webhost.com and when i install plugins in this site it intall easily & also not ask for connection with FTP
    Please Help me is there any way to skip the FTP Login page like my other site or any to login the FTP correctly

    It sounds like your hosting may be blocking FTP access, which is quite common for free hosting providers.

    You should definitely contact your hosting provider about this.

    But i can login Ftp using FillZilla and through there i can do , i have uploaded plugins through this process.
    But why i can’t do in wordpress ftp login?

    I think this was a problem with https://www.host1free.com hosting as they had some problems with FTP, but I use box12 and it works as a charm.
