I already have WordPress installed on: https://netmarketingfornewbies.com and thought I could install WordPress on https://nojob-noworry.com, an add-on domain.

However, when I go https://nojob-noworry.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php I’m getting an error message I do not understand:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_admin() in /home/netmarke/public_html/nojob-noworry.com/blog/wp-admin/includes/comment.php on line 159

I have tried every variation of the URL path I can think of and it’s simply not allowing me to do the install.

Is the problem that I can’t have another WordPress install on an add-on domain? Or is it something else? Please understand I know very little about WordPress, but am teaching myself. The original WordPress installation was done by someone else, so this is my first one.

  • A call to an undefined function is often caused by a file that did not get uploaded correctly to your site.

Thanks kmessinger. Your response suggested that I delete the original install and reinstall WordPress, which I did, but I’m still getting the same error message.

Going to no job-no worry.com takes me to netmarketing for newbies. Something is wrong there.

You can have multiple copies of WP running but each need their own directory. They can use the same db but need their own extension like blog1, blog2.

Thanks . . . I tried a different approach to installing it. Instead of manually doing it, I used Fantastico and it worked fine. I’m in the Admin now.

Appreciate your replies very much. ??
