• Hi,

I’m having some problems in relation to installing or updating plugins. When I try to install a plugin, the screen just freeze :/. And when I try to update a plugin, the following message appears on the entire website :”Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance – check back in a minute”

Therefore, I’m only able to update and install plugins by using my FTPserver (FileZilla). (deleting existing folder and transfer the updated version of the plugin).

    How can I fix this /: ?

    Cheers.

  • You might try logging in via FileZilla and if there’s a file .maintenance in the root directory – delete it.

    Just a question

.maintenance would be a hidden file wouldn’t it

So does filezilla show hidden files by default or is it a setting they would need to alter

Yes it’s a hidden file. I’m sure there’s a setting in FileZilla to display hidden files.

Toolbar > Server > Force showing hidden files (if it’s necessary)
