Unable to insert images into post

  • I’ve always been able to upload images without any difficulties. However, now when I click “Add Media” and upload an image, I can’t seem to get any further. It looks as though the image uploads, but then nothing else happens. I no longer get a button/screen that allows me to “insert into post”. Any ideas about what’s going wrong?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins folder if you have one. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
