    Hi there, @asithintrepid,

    Thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the trouble!

    I have amended the site URL at our end, so the connection should look okay once you cycle the connection.

    You can do this by deactivating Jetpack in your wp-admin dashboard at Plugins > Installed Plugins and then reactivating it and connecting to WordPress.com again.

    More info on how to do that can be found here: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

    Also, make sure to update your WordPress core to its latest version too.

    Let me know how you go, and we’ll take it from there if necessary. Thanks!

    Hi Stef,

    Thanks for the reply.

    Based on the guide line I have deactivate and activate JetPack and then try to set up. But unfortunately I’m still getting same response for register file.

    Thanks, Asith

    Hi there, @asithintrepid,

    I can confirm we still have troubles connecting, but we made some progress as the error I see now is different, and seems to point to your xmlrpc.php file.

    While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file. This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:

    XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

    You can see a working example here:

    https://wp.cloud/xmlrpc.php

    Since your site returns a 404 Not Found error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    • Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall” button.
    • Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
    • Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

    Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site one more time: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reconnecting-jetpack

    Let me know how you get on and we’ll test the connection again for you ??

    Hey @erania-pinnera,

    I think this happens since I install wordpress in /wp folder. When I try xmlrpc.php in /wp response is correct.

    I’ll look into set a redirect from https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/xmlrpc.php -> https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/wp/xmlrpc.php

    Thanks, Asith

    Hey there, @asithintrepid,

    I’ll look into set a redirect from?https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/xmlrpc.php?->?https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/wp/xmlrpc.php

    Yes, that’s correct! I changed it already earlier, and it reverted back to to https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/xmlrpc.php.

    I have changed it again, and it seems like it’s not auto-reverting at the moment ??
    Please try to cycle the connection (disconnect/reconnect) at your end one more time, and let’s see if it does connect okay ??

    Thanks for working this out with us!
