I noticed that during checkout, the credit card fields are not working on mobile. The credit card number fields are tiny, but even if I zoom in, I cannot click into the credit card number fields.

I added CSS to make the height of the boxes bigger, but I still cannot click into the credit card number fields on mobile. Works fine on desktop.

I deactivated all other plugins. Also switched it to the default Store theme to confirm there was no plugin/theme conflict.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @rater8

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that the credit card input fields for the Stripe payment gateway are not working as expected when your store is viewed via mobile. Furthermore, even after switching to the default Storefront theme and all plugins are deactivated, the error persists, correct?

Just to confirm, when you switched to the default Storefront theme, did you also deactivated all plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe and still the issue persists?

If yes, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Thanks!

Hello – I was able to fix the issue.

The issue was that I had two “Checkout” sections on the same page, which was creating some conflict and preventing me from inputting data into the credit card fields.

The reason I had two checkouts was because one was for desktop and one was for mobile. The mobile checkout had 1 column, and the desktop checkout had two columns.

Is this expected? Is there any way I can get the above to work without breaking the credit card payment option?

    Thanks!

    Hello @rater8,

The reason I had two checkouts was because one was for desktop and one was for mobile. The mobile checkout had 1 column, and the desktop checkout had two columns.

I’m glad to hear that you were able to figure it out! ??

I’m not sure how compatible the extension is with this two-form checkout system, so I suggest avoiding it altogether. If the purpose of having two forms is to ensure responsiveness, then you can utilize media queries to modify the behavior on mobile displays using pure CSS.

If you would like, feel free to share screenshots of what you are trying to accomplish, and I or other forum contributors may be able to assist you with what you’re trying to achieve.

However, I should mention that customizations are not included in our support policy. If you require help with big theme behavior changes, please consider hiring a WooExpert or a developer from Codeable.

    Cheers!
