We’re unable to input any CC info into the square payment modal on the checkout page. We’re receiving multiple warnings in our console that start with the following:
ElementNotVisibleError: SqPaymentForm element with….

The elements are there, but they’re acting as if they’re disabled. We updated to 2.1.4 last night i believe.

Hey there!

Almost every time I see this (where the inputs are there, but hidden/not able to be filled) there’s a JS error on your checkout causing this. It’s normally the theme, to be completely honest.

The reason there’s a “display:none” on the elements is so the display can be controlled using JavaScript based on selection of the customers (like they choose PayPal or Square or whatever).

The best way to determine this is to:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.
