Unable to import: The archive file is corrupted

  • I’ve successfully used AinOWPMigration several dozen times and just ran into an error:

    Unable to import: The archive file is corrupted.
    Apparently each of the backups I’ve made over the last 7 months is corrupted and now I can’t upload on the new instance. I don’t have FTP access on this client’s website but can perform most any other operation you may describe.

  • This has happened to me after the plugin was updated very recently. Before it didn’t gave me any trouble even though I was trying to import in the localhost or in any external servers. But I get the same message out of nowhere for all my exported backup files.

    Same issue on two sites, when trying to restore from the backup folder on MAMP local dev.

    same issue here … tried versions 6.50 6.51 6.52 and tried with several archives.

    Also tried with PHP7 (latest) and 5.6xx

    Was this ever resolved? My site is down … please help!!!
