Unable to import grouped products

  • Hi, there. Great plugin. I’m running into one small issue. It seems that when I run the importer to import products, the SKUs I have listed in my Grouped Products column in my CSV which maps to the Grouped Products do not get imported to the woosg product type. The woosg product gets imported (I use woosg for the type column and map that to the product type column), but the actual products I’m trying to associate with that do not work. I have thousands of products in this particular store so manually clicking each grouped product and going to the search field in the product meta to add grouped items will take too long. Is there a way to ensure these products get added to the woosg products upon importing the csv?

    For your information, it’s impossible to use any kind of bulk edit/upload via CSV file. Users will need to manually create group products since there are many complex settings inside.

    If you would like to add multiple products at a time, you can use the Premium version of Composite Products via Categories or Tags source.

    Is there some reason it’s impossible? The settings aren’t complex, I’m able to group products with the native WordPress / Woocommerce import if I’m grouping those products to the “grouped” product type by simply using the parent SKUs in a comma separated list in my “Grouped Products” column. I just need to do that same thing but associate them with the “woosg” column. Is that possible?

    Just wanted to follow up on this. Similar to the native WP / Woo import functionality for grouped products, we need to be able to import a comma separated list of SKUs in our Grouped Products import CSV for all woosg (your plugin) product types.

    It is possible. I did it with all import plugin. In excel I used textjoin to put the required delimiters. The custom field you need is woosg_ids.
    the data inside will look like
    1000/0,1001/0,1002/0,1003/0,1004/0,1005/0,1006/0,1007/0,1008/0
    1000s and up are product IDs
