Unable to hide backend menu items

  • Hi there

    I’ve created a duplicate role of my Administrator role, called “Gazette Editor”, which I wanted to modify so as to only allow full Administrator access to certain sections of the Dashboard. When trying to customize this duplicate role however and restrict certain menu items in the Backend Menu section of AAM, the change does not take effect. Am I doing something wrong?

    It works fine for individual users, but not for blanket roles.

    Hm, that is odd. This is a very basic feature and I can’t reproduce the issue you are reporting. Can you please explain what particular menu items you are trying to restrict? Also, do your users have multiple roles assigned or a single role?
