    Unable to get the post id

    Hi Team,

    Forminator is amazing plugin but from few days I am facing a issue with the post id. I have set the process for downloading the whitepaper. We have too many whitepapers so, we are using the single form for each product. We are using the hidden field as post id and in behavior, we are passing this post id as parameters. This has the redirection to the media file (whitepaper). But since few days its not getting the post id in url. Which is causing us issue. It would be great to get the solution for this. Thanks in advance.

    I hope you’re well today!

    I just tested it on my test setup this way:

    – I create a very simple form with just one input field and one hidden field
    – I set that hidden field to fetch “Embed Post/Page ID”
    – and I’ve added redirection in “Behavior”, including that hidden field as URL parameter

    It worked fine on submission and the ID was saved in submission and included in URL as expected.

    This would suggest that the case is either specific to this very site or to some aspect of site configuration.

    Was there anything change on site recently – especially things like theme or plugins updated?
    Is there any custom code used related to Forminator forms (especially to hidden fields)?
    Would you be able to export and share the form itself so we could test it?

    To share the form:
    – go to “Forminator -> Forms” page and click on a little “gear” icon next to the form in question
    – select “Export” option and copy code that it gives you
    – put the code on pastebin.com service and share direct (public) link to it in your response here.

    Hi Adam,

    We do all regular updates for plugin and theme. I would like to mention about WP Webhook, we use this plugin for integration which closely works with forminator. I have deactivated this plugin, but still facing the same issue. Theme doesn’t has any additional code.

    Thank you for response!

    I tested your form and I was able to replicate the issue on my own setup. Since I couldn’t replicate it initially with the form that I created from scratch, I looked into it to see if there are any differences in configuration.

    And it turns out that it doesn’t work correctly if the form is set to be loaded via AJAX (the “Load form using AJAX” option under “Rendering” in “Behavior” settings of the form). This only applies to certain “types” of hidden fields – Post Titles and IDs being among them.

    For now, the workaround is to switch this option off and clear all cache and it should start working.

    I also confirmed that our developers are already made aware of it and they are working on the fix (as it’s considered a bug). I don’t have ETA but it will be addressed with one of upcoming releases.
