I applied article schema through Yoast but it didn’t work. Please share your views on why this is happening.

    Hi @priyankagusain

We understand schema is not working as expected. We would like some more information to assist in troubleshooting this.

    1. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v16.0.2? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.7? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    4. Can you provide an example URL that highlights the issue?

    5. What kind of page is it? Is it a post or a page or a custom post type or some other kind?

    Hello @pcosta88,

I have checked my website and plugin and found that all things are updated as you mentioned above.

Please check the article url: https://bbgage.com/angler-girls-give-lowdown-on-one-of-the-best-kept-secrets-in-florida-part-two/

Page Type is Web Page, Article Type is Article.

    Hi,

For this URL https://bbgage.com/angler-girls-give-lowdown-on-one-of-the-best-kept-secrets-in-florida-part-two/, can you confirm that this is a default WordPress post and not created via a custom post type?

If it is a default post, could you then check if you’ve properly configured the settings under SEO > Search Appearance > Knowledge Graph & Schema.org? Please make sure you’ve filled up all of the necessary fields and then please save the changes. You can refer to this article for more information — https://yoast.com/help/implementing-schema-with-yoast-seo/#search-appearance

Also, upon checking the page source of the URL, it looks like in line 141, you are outputting the ‘Organization’ schema from either custom code or another plugin. If you were to temporarily remove this, could you also check if this could be potentially causing the issue as it could be conflicting output with the schema from our plugin.

If the Article schema still doesn’t output after making sure everything is configured in the Search Appearance section, just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.`

Oddly enough I had the same issue a few months back and could not figure it for weeks, the following finally worked for me:

    Go to:
SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types > Posts > Default Article Type = Article > Save Changes

    Then go to:
SEO > General > Organization Logo = Must Replace Image or Add Image > Save Changes

Purge or clear site cache (nginx for me)

Head back to your post and hard refresh

Hope this works for you too.
