    I set up Backdraft, but I get the following error:
    FTP settings test result: Failure: we successfully logged in, but were not able to create a file in the given directory.
    Messages:
    * PHP event: code E_WARNING: ftp_nb_fput(): Prohibited file name: public_html\\tbi-backups/f5fd2ae7c088c9b1380ce8f8ac6096d1.tmp (line 78, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/ftp.class.php)

    I have tried using an empty folder, direct to the root folder, etc, but I always get this type of error message. Can anyone assist?
    Thank you!

    Hi,

    The message appears to indicate that your FTP server has certain rules to prohibit particular filenames. Can you talk to the FTP server administrator to find out what these are?

    Though, looking at the message, I’d suggest that you enter public_html/tbi-backups as your directory, instead of the current public_html\\tbi-backups, and see if that works.

    David
