• Hi Thomas,

I am using your plugin for my website, Everything works great except for the product click event, gtm4wp.productClickEEC, it can’t be fired. Instead, it’s showing up as link click event. Do you have any idea what the problem is? https://ibb.co/X3bJQRh

    Hi Jimmy,

The main problem is that you site is adding for some reason a ?v= parameter into every URL. When GTM4WP catches the product click, it also checks whether the clicked link points to the product detail page. This is necessary to make sure product click event is not fired on additional buttons like “wishlist”, “quickview”, etc.

Since your site is adding a random ?v= parameter into the link element, the target URL will not equal to the raw product detail page URL (https://peilishop.com/product/mair-straw-tote/?v=35b5282113b8 does not equal to https://peilishop.com/product/mair-straw-tote/) thus it thinks the click happened on a link that is not a product detail page link.
