Unable to finish setup of iThemes Security

  • I have downloaded the plugin – have a clean install of WordPress, and wanted to set it up – once I select the first option – it will freeze. I tried to install some older versions – 7.8.1 – it seems everything is working fine; I have finished the plugin setup and then updated it to the latest version. Now I can open the dashboard, but I cannot change or save something; the tab notification is entirely inaccessible.
    On my previous WordPress installs, i had never had such issues. Can you advise?
