• Hi Community,

as I want to show a subset of products on different website-pages, I want to filter my WooCommerce products:

I have some products in categories like “Installation” and “PA”.

There are some attributes for these products like e.g. “color”.

Within attribute “color” you will find the belonging terms “black” and “white”

What I am looking for, is a shortcode to filter AND display(!!!) exactly the picture of the white variation of my product (not the black one):

I did not manage this so far with WooCommerce Internals.

Looking for a solution, I found e.g. the WooCommerce extensions “WooCommerce Product Search”, which has some additional shortcode extensions built-in for WooCommerce:
With this, I am able to filter the products by color availability exactly the way I described above, but the image shown on the result page is always the black one (which is default or not defined), but I want to see the white picture, which specifically is set for the variation with term “white”. And when I filter for term “black” I want to see the black product-picture.

How do I do this? Is it maybe even possible with WooCommerce without extension or does somebody know a small plugin (best free of charge) to achieve my goal?

It sounds like a simple question but does not seem to be that easy, although I have to admit, I am not very deep in WooCommerce so far…

Thank you very much for your help,

    Marcus

    Hi @seaudio

It may be possible in combination with using the WooCommerce Product Search WITH a plugin such as this one:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/products-by-attributes-variations-for-woocommerce/

This will display all variations on the Shop page, so it may help when using the other plugin for the search.

    Hi Amanda,

thanks for your reply. Are you sure this plugin works the wy described as a shortcode?

I am asking because I also evaluated 2 plugins which I thought would work…
But unfortunately they also just showed the main-product as a picture and not the picture of the variation with the filtered term.

Are there any other additional suggestions? As I have some other paid plugins active, I would prefer to have a non-paid solution if available.

    Thank you for your help.
