    Hi there,

I unfortunately can’t find anything with Relevanssi. I’m using Elementor, and everything was working fine, until something got updated and now I’m not getting any search results for anything.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Relevanssi, and rebuilding the index, and that doesn’t work.

When I try to preview the search page in Elementor using a keyword, that does work and things display correctly – but on the live site itself, Relevanssi claims to not be able to find anything.

First: try searching with the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search). Does that work? If it does, the problem is in your theme (or maybe a conflicting plugin). If not, the problem is in Relevanssi settings.

Relevanssi does not work with Elementor search results templates, that will get you zero results; you need to use the default WP search template. I’ve been in touch with Elementor in order to get them to support Relevanssi, it would be fairly straightforward, but so far it hasn’t happened.

First, many thanks for a miraculously fast reply!

Admin search does work, so it must be an Elementor problem. I’m using an older version of Elementor, after their 3.0 rollout was such a disaster, but on a dev site with a newer version, Relevanssi search works fine. Maybe the issue is the older version.

I guess it’s time to bite the bullet and update.

It’s possible they’ve already fixed this in Elementor, then; I’m not sure. If Relevanssi works fine with the newer version, that would suggest it.

Okay, I updated everything, and it’s still not working.

It’s really strange though, because the results do show up in the search page template editor, just not on the front end.

I would ask Elementor, but I’m already well aware of the standard of their tech support.

Turned out it was an issue with Jetsmartfilter. If you just disable Jetsmartfilter on Elementor Pro archive pages, it works fine. ??

Yes, JetSmart Filters are not compatible with Relevanssi.
