Unable to fill in form fields

developing local….. not able to send url.

I’ve been searching web all day….. not finding anything.

I have used contact form 7 on another site and the same theme (Modernize) and it works fine.

Developing another site now and running into this issue. Only difference is the theme is newer version and I suspect something is in theme causing issue but I’m not programmer so it’s taking me forever to track down cause. Theme support has yet to be of help also.

I would hope someone would know from description of issue what code element could even cause this. As stated….. the form and it’s fields show up fine…. I just cannot click in box to show curser and enter text? Really don’t understand….. if the text box shows, what could stop from entering text?

You are probably right. Switch to a WordPress default theme and see if the problem goes away. If it does, you’ve most likely got a Javascript conflict with your current WordPress theme.

If you are not a programmer you will probably not have the skills to solve this. You could write to the theme developer and suggest they might have a possible conflict with CF7. CF7 is one of the most popular plugins in the WordPress Repository, so it makes sense for developers to deal with any potential conflicts.

Also if a theme conflicts with CF7, it probably also conflicts with many other plugins. It’s generally a sign of a poorly coded theme and one that people should avoid using.
