I had Wise Chat working, and it was working well, however,

Now I am unable to enter a message. I click in the Enter Message box, but it won’t let me type; it’s not accepting input from my keyboard.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Also, I have tried un-installing and re-installing Wise Chat, but that does not seem to help, and for some reason, Wise Chat remembers my settings when I re-install, even after I’ve manually deleted the plugin.

If I could get past this input issue, I would love Wise Chat & would certainly be interested in getting PRO.

    Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. It is hard to determine what is wrong from the description. Please send me a link to your website. I will try to find what is wrong. Probably:
    – you are using jQuery 3.1 which is not supported yet
    – your theme is generating Javascript errors which prevents the chat to operate normally

    Thanks

    Thank you for your reply.

For unrelated reasons, I decided to reinstall WordPress, and I also reinstalled Wise Chat. Now, I am experiencing a different problem, which I will describe:

The input box, which usually says “Enter your message here..” is too small to read. I am able to input text, but the text is also too small to read. After pressing ENTER, the message displays properly in the main chat window (where all the messages are printed.)

I noticed that if I hover over the input box with my mouse, the hover-text reads as follows: “Use SHIFT+ENTER to move to the next line.”

If I follow those instructions, and press SHIFT+ENTER, the text box becomes larger, and the text I enter is then readable, however, I do not want the chat room to behave this way, for obvious reasons.

I understand that this may be due to issues with my theme or my jquery version, but I would like to get your opinion. My chat room is located here.

    Thank you for the help!

    Hi,

You probably have all the buttons displayed next to the input box: insert emoticon, insert picture, insert attachment, send button. The layout is not prepared to work on such narrow screens. I solved this in Wise Chat Pro by implementing floating design – when input box is too narrow then all the buttons move to the next line. You can try to hide the buttons, but this is all you can do at the moment.

    Thanks
