Unable to edit Widgets

  • Good day, I have just updated to WP 4.8 and now my widgets, including existing widgets do not give me an option to edit. It offers the sidebar position and nothing else. Please advise. How can I correct this?

    Probably something broke or a plugin conflict. Try deactivating all plugins and trying to edit widgets. If it works activate plugins one by one till you find the one that causes the issue.

    Same problem here after upgrading to 4.8.

    I tried the usual fixes: disabled all plugins and sidebar widgets are still un-editable.

    But if I switch to the wp default theme I can get at some of the widgets but some are lost.

    Anyone have a solution?

    Have disabled plugins, but no change with widgets. It seems to be only the text and image widgets that are a problem. Could it be a theme issue?

    Any assistance or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
