    Hi,

This plugin is really good, thank you for all your hard work.

I set up a form where users can enter title, raw text and some images (sorry I don’t have a link since it’s hosted in local).

When the user fills the form and adds a couple images, I get their submitted article as a draft in the articles list.

The problem is that when I want to edit the article, I don’t find any images or galleries inside to edit, except for the feature image (I’m using the Classic Editor plugin by the way). In both visual and text mode, all I see is the raw text they entered.

That being said, when I publish the article, the gallery is there.

Is there a way to edit the submitted gallery? I disabled Classic Editor and I still can’t see the gallery using the new editor.

    Thank you.

    Glad to help:

“Is there a way to edit the submitted gallery?”

There is no “submitted gallery”, only submitted images. Once the images are submitted, they are:

    1) Added to the WP Media Library
    2) The image URL(s) are attached to the post as custom fields

So that means you can edit the images via the WP Media Library. As you say, the plugin does not add any image markup in the post content. But there is a setting called “Auto-Display Images” that can be used to display the images on the front-end post content.

I hope this information helps, let me know if any further questions, feedback, etc. Glad to help anytime.

Thank you! What I did was uncheck the “Auto-Display Images” option, and then manually add a gallery with the submitted images inside the submitted post (this way I get to chose the images and the order).

Only problem I can think of here is if 2 users send 2 articles with images in them, when I’ll get around to edit/publish them I won’t be able to tell which images belong to which submitted article since they all share the same Media Library.

    Any ideas?

Yes that is where the custom field info will be useful. Each uploaded images has a specific unique URL. That URL is associated/displayed along with the image in the Media Library. It also is the *same* URL that is attached to the submitted post.

SO you can find out exactly which images are associated with the post by comparing the URL information.

That was very helpful, thank you so much!
