    Dear All,

I installed 3.5.1 on a new domain a few days back, while installing I found that I am unable to edit my posts or pages, as I am getting a blank screen at the editor section.

I tried changing the theme too, but it did not worked, I don’t have any adblock also installed on my browsers, I tried using different browsers also.

I am unable to post new things also, as I am getting a complete blank section in the editor section.

Please help me to rectify the problem.

  • Open your wp-config.php file and turn on debugging by changing:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false); to define('WP_DEBUG', true);

Then report back the error message you see at the top of the screen.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your help, I did the same, but am not seeing any error message.

Can you provide a link to the site in question.

    Yes Chris,

    Its coloringlives.com

Don’t see anything out of the ordinary except for a broken image link for the WordPress logo on the login page. Also doesn’t look like your running any plugins but if you are try disabling them and switching to the twentythirteen theme. If you still cant edit any posts my only other suggestion is to try doing a manual update because some of the files might not have updated or are missing. Dear Chris,

Thanks for your help, I resolved the issue by uploading the site again. It must be having some file missing…

Just reporting that I had exactly the same problem on the most recent update. I haven’t tried any fixes, yet, but will when I get the time. So, vatsalok, what worked for you?

Hi, same thing with me. After I updated my wordpress to the version 3.5.1, the page where I can create a new posts seems distorted and the box where I can post my thoughts is currently located at the bottom left of the page. If I try to drag it up, it doesn’t help.

I’m not sure if there’s a need to make another update or could be a compatibility issue with my browsers. I cleared my cache, tried all the browsers I have (I.E., Chrome and Firefox).

Is the new version would only work in higher OS? For now, I’m only using Windows XP SP 3.

Looking forward for your responses, thanks!

    Hello,
After updating to 3.5.1 I had the same issue. There was some sort of a blank area hiding all editing functions and areas on the post editing page.
I solved it by deactivating all plugins and using the twenty eleven theme. The post editing screen was back again.
after re-activing one plugin at a time, it became clear that it was a problem caused by one plugin.
re-installed old theme. everything works fine.
just a reminder for everybody, to check your plugins first… before trying more time-consuming fixes.

It is working now on my site. ??
