Unable to Edit Post Time, Open Widgets in the Sidebar; and no Menu for Editing

  • I have 3 problems that I’ve noticed so far and all are in the backend of the site, so not associated with any plugin.

    1) When I’m in a post and try to select the “Edit” link next to when to publish to change from “Immediately” to a specifically scheduled time, nothing happens. I get no expansion of boxes to put dates and times in. I can publish normally, but I want to be able to schedule posts.

    2) When in the Widgets area, when I try to click the drop down to open up the individual widgets, nothing happens. So, I can’t go in and change individual widget settings or add additional information, change titles, etc.

    3) This may be an option change that I cannot find, but when I open a post to edit, where the bold, italics, link and more buttons typically are, the information is blank.

    These issues seem to be pervasive across multiple browsers, having tried in both Chrome and MSIE. I have not tried Firefox, but considering the issues with the other two, I doubt Firefox will be different.

    What you are describing is javascript failing in multiple places.

    Have you read the master list and tried the steps outlined there?

    Have you ever used the “BulletProof Security” plugin at any point, ever?

    Almost every plugin written has the potential to interfere with the wordpress dashboard… if not written properly. Especially if it has an admin settings page.

    All of these issues sound javascript related. I’m betting 99% certainty that a plugin is causing this interference.

    Try deactivating them all… manually refresh your browser and empty the cache… and try it again.

    EDIT: OTTO!!! ??

    Just noticed the same thing for 3.5. Editing a post and none of the edit buttons are there?

    Also if you click the preview button when editing a post it just shows you the current post and not the preview.

    yes . i also can not open widget dropdown menus . if i click arrow , nothing happen . widget options can not be seen . most probably it is a bug by wp 3.5 . i also aware that a commercial plugin name “cbpress” also not work in wp 3.5 update . maybe this bug also influence plugins to not work properly

    Damn..I thought I found the coolest plugin to start getting somewhere with clickbank….glad I didnt pay for the plugin, yet..it was free download with WP.org…had the entire CB inventory downloaded but could not edit anything….widgets…posts…almost bought the CB Engine, but am going to hold off until I see some kind of solution somewhere…I was pulling my hair out all week tryin to get this to work…back to the drawing board.
