Unable to edit any of my pages or posts

  • I can’t display any of my pages or posts under visual editor. It only displays in HTML code. When I click on VISUAL, it shows nothing. Please help, Ive been hacked a month ago and though it was resolved. Any suggestions?

  • This may seem like an odd question but have you tried to “highlight” content in the editor box in visual mode by clicking inside and dragging? I bet it will show the content that you can’t see, as though the text color is set to white.

    I was messing with a plugin that allowed drag and drop uploading to the editor and it had that affect. So if the content is still there in visual, just white like the background of the editor I would do the good ‘ol plugin review (disabling one by one) and a theme test.

    Then consider looking for things that would affect the admin css, maybe re-install WordPress to make sure you have a good copy of the core files.

    What version of WP are you using?

    Can you post the HTML version of one of your POSTS?

    When you right click inside VISUAL EDITOR, you can high lite the post/page info in HTML mode only. Its like visual doesn’t exist! I’m using WP 3.3, all plugins are up to date. I deactivate and activated TinyMCE Advanced plugin because it doesn’t show under the visual editor. It didn’t help. I installed a new theme, its bringing this problem with the new theme.

    Yes, I can post of HTML version, but I am not versed for HTML. It so much easier to post with visual editor. Also I use TinyMCE Advanced to edit my pages and posts.
