• Following the upgrade to 3.5:

    I’ve uploaded a large JPG (5MB, 4700×3100 pix).
The picture shows in the Media Library, but when I try to edit it I get following message:

“Image data does not exist. Please re-upload the image”

  • Try uploading a smaller image.

    Are you serious?
    How much smaller?

Less than 1MB. Just as a test.

How about you do the tests before you release the next version?
Theme Diva, I’ve already wasted a full day yesterday recovering from damaged caused by following your instructions.

The upload screen displays: “Maximum upload file size: 7MB.” and it did work in previous versions.

Maybe there is somebody else who actually cares about functionality loss due to this upgrade.

You can always downgrade to wordpress 3.4.2 follow https://etuts.org/manually-downgrade-wordpress/

How about you do the tests before you release the next version?

WordPress 3.5 underwent apprx 6 months of beta testing. Your issue, in all probability, has nothing to do with the recent update. Did you try the test I suggested?

I think you are missing my point.

I didn’t ask for help, I’ve just reported the loss of functionality comparing to the previous version in hope that somebody will care enough to look into this.

The loss of functionality is specific to your site. So you need to troubleshoot your site.
