Previously, this function used to work properly as I already received GZIP backup files.

But suddendly it stopped working automatically.

I’ve just try to do it manually and I got the message given as this forum’s title: “Unable to E-Mail Database Backup File”.

It may not be directly depending on this plugin but I just wanted to know if other users have face this problem and if they’ve found a solution.

Do you have an idea on how to debug that?

Probably the file size is too big to be emailed out or it just times out when connecting to the server. Sadly wp_mail() doesn’t return any error if it fails, so I am not sure whether you will get any in the logs, but it is worth a check.

If you want to debug wp_mail() is the function to step through.

    Hi!

You’re right dude, sorry about that. I didn’t think to the archive filesize but effectively, it grew over the 10Mb limit since last months and it couldn’t be send by email.

I had to download them by FTP, which is not a problem.

Maybe you could improve your extension to check those filesize before making operation on it (and give a specified error message for those that exceed mail attachment size limit)?

Thanks anyway for your answer and for your excellent plugin.
