Direct download button doesn’t work, when I select the backup and then click on (any of the) buttons containing the various backups (db, plugins, etc) I get a “file not found” error, even though the backups ARE there.

SO I setup the Email method but when the file comes as a ‘downloadable’ attachment in my email I am still unable to download, I get an error on every file, even the tiniest one, on every attempt.

Sure, I can manually download each file via FTP, but I’m trying to setup an easy way for someone else to handle the task of downloading and then uploading to our OneDrive account that doesn’t involve FTP.

The files created are not overly huge, in fact it’s a small site and the backup files are small, attaching them directly to an email rather than as a ‘downloadable’ item should not be an issue.

    Hi,

It is possible that the backup has fail. For us to check, please send us a copy of the latest full backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab. The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

Also, it is not recommended to use email backup as most mail server cannot handle huge files. You can possibly do this for database backup only but not for files.

Thank you @bcrodua I appreciate the quick response.

It isn’t the backup that failed, I was able to download the files via FTP, the backup files themselves are fine. It was most likely the email file size limitations. I’d love to be able to send my backup files directly to my OneDrive but that isn’t an option with the free level of Updraft, so I’ve removed Updraft and am seeking a different backup plugin.

    Thank you again.
