• I just tried to upload WP Rocket onto my site. I didn’t disable WP Super Cache, so I believe I have two conflicting plugins. Now I’m getting this error message.

“/wp-content/advanced-cache.php already exists. Please manually delete it before using this plugin. If you continue to see this message after deleting it please contact your hosting support.”

I have read to try to delete it through an FTP File Manager. I never downloaded a File Manager plugin to my site. I can’t do anything on my site now. It just shows that message anywhere I click. Trying to get help on how to fix this issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • An FTP file manager (FileZilla or similar), lives on your PC, not on your site. But … IMHO an easier way is to use the file manager built into your hosting control panel. Drill down to the misbehaving plugin(s) and rename the plugin folder(s) – for example put an ‘x’ at the start of the folder name. That will disable the plugin so you can debug.
