Unable to do anything in Dashboard – getting redirected to home page

  • Fresh WP install, fresh Acme Photo install. Allowed the theme to import all the necessary plugins and whatever. Activated the demo theme (the one with all the women), which loaded all the demo photos.

    And now every thing I click on in the Dashboard nav panel just redirects me to the site home page. I can’t do anything at all, not even uninstall the theme.

    I cleared my browser data (cache, cookies, etc.) and still have the issue. It almost seems like my only choice is to completely uninstall WP and start all over.

    Before I do that, is there anything I can do to get back to normal?

    P.S. – I included the link to the site, but I can’t even create a temporary admin user for anyone to check it out.

    When I try enter the admin url https://cbiweb.com/ljpdev/wp-admin/ it redirect me to login page. I think the WordPress admin is working fine.
    I can assure you that theme has nothing to do with redirecting. If you have ftp/cpanel access you can rename the plugins folder and try to access to the admin area.

    Yes, I ended up deleting the entire WP installation and starting over yesterday.

    I installed Infinite Photography, which wasn’t quite what I wanted, so I went back to AcmePhoto and everything worked as it should. So by the time you tried it, everything was working normally.

    @codersantosh Well, the problem still exists. Can I send you the admin login details so you can have a look?

    I totally removed WordPress from the server, emptied the database, and started over.

    100% fresh WP install, no changes made. I installed Acme Photo, and followed the instructions for getting it set up, and then the problem returns. Everything I click in the the admin panel just takes me to the site home page.

    There is no way to do anything at all except rip it all out again. If you can look at it, I’d appreciate it, because I have no idea why it’s happening.

    I tried sending a support request – twice – but after hitting the Send button, nothing happens. The little indicator just keeps slowly flashing, trying to send it.

    So I tried to register in the forums, and it keeps telling me the captcha validation is incorrect, even though I KNOW that 4+1=5. I tried twice, with the same result.

    I’m using Firefox, so it’s not like I’m using a strange browser.

    I cannot reach you. Please advise.
