Hi @3xploiton3, thanks for the heads-up with that.
The version number displayed in WordPress is hardcoded, but our scanner relies on www.remarpro.com’s plugin repository for any plugins obtained through Plugins > Add New in WordPress itself.
For premium plugins such as this, the developers will usually hook into the WordPress plugins_api
?to return compatibly formatted information that Wordfence can also see during its scans.
If the plugin developer isn’t providing version information to that hook, Wordfence will report that it was “Unable to determine version…”. Premium plugins may also report as abandoned if a last_updated
date isn’t provided. It could be worth getting in touch with the gp-premium team to check if they are providing that information or not.
If they believe that information is being provided, so you don’t have to act as a go-between, they can contact our team directly at genbiz @ wordfence . com and we’ll be happy to work towards a resolution.
Many thanks,
Peter.
