Unable to delete subscribes from the list
-
Hi,
I want to delete old subscribers, but nothing happens when I delete them.
They do not go to the trash, and those that were already in trash, can also not be removed. As soon as I click on for example “non confirmed subscribers” my browser’s gives a message saying that this page is slowing down the browser, please stop this page. Seems like everything freezes and clicking on the trash tab, or others simply not works. This happens in Firefox and Edge too.
Any idea’s how to solve this?
Thanks!

LogoLogics.
Can I get help please, I provided the information as required.
PS. Also I keep getting mails that I exceeded my subscriber limit and yet I only have 454 subcribers (actually only 54) but the unconfirmed ones keep getting added after I remove them.Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I want to delete old subscribers, but nothing happens when I delete them.
They do not go to the trash, and those that were already in trash, can also not be removed. You can learn how to fix this by going here: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/304-why-i-cant-delete-my-subscribers

If you go to MailPoet > Subscribers, and expand the “Screen Options” panel in the top-right corner of the screen, how many subscribers do you have it configured to display? If you have it set to a very high number — i.e. 500 subscribers — that could certainly slow down the page. In that case, please try switching it to ~20 – 30 subscribers and see if the page loading speed improves:

I hope this helps.
Of course, feel free to reach out to us if you need any more help or have other questions and we’d be happy to help.
Thank you for this advice.
However, all your advice has already been addressed, higher up this topic.
I have already done all that, and yet, all the non subscribers, still are added back to my list of subscribers after a few hours. I was asked to add the log, which I did, but no one responded to that.Hello again @logologics ,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Can you tell us if the email addresses listed as “Unconfirmed” belong to any list?
Also I checked your logs and didn’t see anything that I could reference.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hi,
Yes, the unconfirmed are in the list of the free course and some of them Woocommerce list.
However, when I select them and select “unsubscribe” (that tells me that it will unsubscribe them from ALL lists) at first they are in added to that “unsubsribed” list, but after an hour or so, they are again added to the “unconfirmed” AND again counted in my license plan.
Only when I delete those from being WordPress users or Woocommerce customers, then they do not come back, but just because I do not want them as Mailpoets subscribers, should not mean I need to delete them from their course etc.Hello @logologics

Sure. That shouldn’t be necessary, indeed.

That’s odd and it’s not the expected behavior. Is there any chance that you have the newsletter opt-in enabled on your checkout page and customers are checking it when placing order (hence going back to your subscribers list as Unconfirmed)?
Also, do you have any Automations active on your site?
Finally, I see that you have code snippets plugin on your site. What type of codes you’ve added to your site through this plugin?
Hello @guicmazeredo,
Newsletter opt-in is enabled, but since the last time I moved them to the unsubscrided list, only 6 news ones were added, so that can not be it.
No automations active, except All in one migrations plugins, automated backups to Dropbox
Snippets are for a sidebar in the theme, and one to autocomplete orders.
Thanks!Hello again @logologics ,
Thank you for getting back to us.
This is indeed a strange scenario. The email addresses you manually unsubscribe that later change to Unconfirmed, can also happen if there’s a way some of these addresses are triggering the confirmation email to be sent again.
Can you share about two – three samples of this email addresses?
Don’t share them here, please contact us via https://www.mailpoet.com/support/sales-pre-sales-questions/ and include a link to this thread and then share the email addresses.
We’ll be able to provide you with more information there.
Cheers!
Hi,
I just send you the addresses via?https://www.mailpoet.com/support/sales-pre-sales-questions/
