Unable to delete spam

    That’s weird. I haven’t heard of that issue until now. How many spam comments are you deleting at once? Does this also happen if you only delete 1 spam comment?

    If I try to delete up to 20 spam comments it works. However anything over 100 and the error message comes up.

    It’s become so bad I’ve had to disable the plugin and now I can empty the spam folder in one go.

    I’ve had the same issue for the last few weeks. My site gets hundreds of spam comments a day. I regularly have 500+ spam when I Empty Spam. The page loads and loads and eventually spits me out to a 500 Internal Server Error.

    When I disable Quick Cache and try again the spam empties almost instantly.

    I believe this is related to a bug in Quick Cache where deleting spam comments actually triggers the cache for the associated post to be purged. If you’re attempting to delete 500 spam comments, Quick Cache is trying to purge the cache files for all posts associated with those spam comments. That should not happen.

    There is a bug report currently open here and this will be fixed in the next release:
