unable to delete folder which contains index.php file

  • I am trying to clean up old WordPress folders and I have a few that contain random folders with index.php files in them. I tried changing permissions to different things and I also tried putting in an index.php file with 0 kB. I was able to put it in but still unable to delete it. How can I delete these folders and files?
