unable to customise the theme

when I try to customize the theme, but there’s nothing shown, it’s just a blank page that I can’t do anything…

Thank you for getting back along with the screenshot.

To do quick checking whether this issue is caused by Sydney theme or not, please try switching to one of default WordPress themes like Twenty Twenty-One while enabling troubleshooting mode with the help of this plugin. So the test will run privately — only visible to you (logged in site admin).

i tried the plugin for the troubleshooting mode, which the customisation work for sydney theme. but when i turn off the troubleshooting mode, i still unable to make any customisation of the theme again.. would you mind to advise me how i shall solve this?

also notice the website is uploading very slow.. wonder how i can improve it?

By the way, i did the health site check, which there mentioned a critical issues that

Error The WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE constant is defined and enabled.
Error WordPress security and maintenance releases are blocked by define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );.

wonder how can i solve it?

First, check your site’s server and ensure it meets these requirements.

Second, try disabling all plugins one by one, and run your test in each. This will help rule out any plugin’s specific issue.
