Unable To Customise

I tried activating this theme but I couldn’t make any customisations work. When I select a menu, the site still shows a list of every page it has – twice! – not just the pages on the menu, for some reason? I can’t find any way to change the banner image, any fonts or colours, or anything else. Very disappointing, as I was really keen to try out this look!
