I’m getting the below message. I’ve sent you the diagnostic logs.

    PHP 7.2 / Nginx / CentsOS 7

We were unable to create the wordfence-waf.php file in the root of the WordPress installation. It's possible WordPress cannot write to the wordfence-waf.php file because of file permissions. Please verify the permissions are correct and retry the installation.

How should I go about fixing this?

    Thanks!

  • @rsclmumbai,

By default, the “wordfence-waf.php” file will be created in the “root” folder of your site (at the same level as the site’s “.htaccess” file); so make sure the user the web server runs as has sufficient privileges to write into that folder.

You can check who that use should be by looking at the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page, in the PHP Environment section where it says “Process Owner”. That is who should own the files in that folder to write to.
